Improving the shopping experience in supermarkets and maximizing sales

Shoptimus AI is a Barcelona-based startup offering software as a service (SaaS) for supermarket chains. Its goal is to help users create shopping lists in supermarket apps, enhancing their shopping experience and optimizing their purchases according to their needs, preferences, and goals. It provides tools to manage their basket both online and offline, thereby boosting product sales.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to dynamically create personalized lists for each user based on their shopping habits, combining suggestions, related products, and available offers in the supermarket.

The objectives set for the product definition were:

• Define a quick and simple experience for creating smart shopping lists capable of generating automated lists according to user consumption habits.
• Improve the conversion rate and recurrence in product sales both in physical stores and the online supermarket.
• Persuasively integrate suggested and personalized products for each user.
• Enhance product comparison based on various criteria like price and product features to facilitate discovery and selection according to user interests.
• Promote product exploration through an intelligent predictive search system and filtering system.
• Define a visual design system that consistently integrates into the corresponding supermarket app.

Since the company's inception in 2023, we have been collaborating with the Shoptimus AI team in designing and improving the application, defining and reviewing the tool's functionalities based on user feedback.
